The Food Market, for the second year in succession, has won the 2011 Eat In Award for the Best Market in the Eastern Region. This is what was said about the Market.
 "The award is for dedication to delivering superb produce, as well as enthusiasm for promoting KZN's produce and producers".
Other producers from KZN did very well at the Eat In Awards in Cape Town this year. There were two winners in the Small Produce Awards section - Simon and Roche from Chuck and Bobs who won this award for their whole meat curing business - and Swissland Cheese from the Midlands for their St Maure cheese. Richard and Dave from Enaleni Farm in Pietermaritzburg won the South African Heritage Award for their excellent work.
