Guestbook

Hi There

Today (29.01.2011) was the first time that myself, husband and little boy went to your food market and OH WOW were we blown away.
I love the cleanliness of it all and every stall is different – not something that is seen at other food / craft markets.
Each stall had something so special and tasting of the products – naturally we loved this and my son was happily testing all the goodies.
I spent every cent I brought with and could have easily purchased more.

We are thoroughly impressed – I have even posted in on my Facebook and put your website on my FB page.
You have customers for life!
We will most certainly see you next month – along with my extended family and friends J

Keep it up!!!
Regards
Laura-May Louw

If you haven’t ever been – it’s a great place to buy stunning speciality foods, totally indulge and you are bound to bump into loads of people you know. It is like a once a month meet up of the who’s who in Durban!

Just want to keep you in the loop for when the next food market is… one great reason to gois the incredible cupcakes and cookies… but everything is delicious!!!

Thought you should check this out -
Everything is fresh, innovative and right on line with each of us doing our bit to save the planet!

Great place to meet one Saturday per month for ‘all the best of things’, one of the greatest
being The Food Market Organisers allowing the Umgeni River Conservancy to have a table to
promote awareness of the Conservancy and it’s intent to Clean-Up our lovely river-side area.

What a perfect way to spend your time and money! I pop in for coffee
and stay for the day – every time I swear that I won’t spend a fortune, and every time I empty my wallet!

Birthday one is about to dawn
Another time to save some loot
The most fantastic range that you can afford
Of vegetables and fruit

Breakfasts to die for
Come along and you will see
The food market on the 25th
Is definitely the place to be

First class bakers show their wares
And there are magnificent cooked hams
Of course we must not forget
A super range of homemade jams

Homemade is the buzzword
For all sorts of tasty treats
When you come along
Please don’t forget the sweets

What we are trying to say is
No matter what else you do
Just be at our food market
On the 25th from 8 to 2

Colin Penn

If you haven’t been to The Food Market, it’s really worth a visit!

I love the vibe at the food market, you get to try out all the delicious, local, organic foods and best of all - sitting on the grass under the trees having lunch with good friends…

Stacey Lee

The food market is one of my ‘happy places’, meeting with friends, delish food to eat and buy and such a relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to it and get so excited at the prospect of the last Saturday of the month J

Wow...There so many good reasons to shop at the food market, firstly just the sensory rush from going to the store is a treat. You get to take home all the delicious ante pastas for your guests or just for afternoon treats for your family.  There are many wholesome breads and cheeses too. Lunches there are always buzzing as everyone loves good food accompanied by great friends make for a fun afternoon.

This  has to be the  very best Food Market in KZN- all products are bursting with freshness and the quality of Homemade goods is second to none , as well as a variety of  foods not found elsewhere.
It’s a place to meet and greet while browsing the Food stalls--be sure not to miss having a Saturday ‘brekkie” with friends.

BECAUSE THE FOOD MARKET LOVES FOOD AS MUCH AS I DO!

The reason I am notifying all my friends about the market is that I can see them all at one place for a reunion and what a better place than the food market

Peter Venter

The Freshest way to spend your Saturday morning  -  Fresh Food - Fresh Produce -  Fresh Ideas

It’s absolutely fantastic that you are aligned with such a beneficial event such as The Food Market – the variety is such a breath of fresh air  to have access to all that produce under my nose – as Shongweni / Hillcrest / Umhlanga have all that on offer too... it’s just that not all of us want to schlep 20 mins away (real Durbanite chirp hey).

I love these benefits:

Awesome variety
• Fresh and organic/homemade wares
Supports local business
• Is in an enjoyable location – no horrid parking malls with expensive parking tickets to pay
• Is great for kids/family outing – will bring my teenagers to next one – and last but not least:
Is a romantic thing for couples to browse through a “market” ....sampling local wares and food, enjoy a drink and listen to music... (arty Cinema Nouveau “we hang out at the market together” stuff J...I’m a “die-hard romantic” at heart! Can you tell?

Well done! And the combination of Eat Creek and the Hellenic with extra’s is a winning combo! I look forward to more. Definitely keep my gym contract going with what I’ll be eating there regularly as I did on Saturday!

Kind regards
